Sometimes I think the year that follows a death is tougher than the month that follows as reality sets in the quiet and the heavy loss. I cannot imagine the pain and losing such a best friend.
No doubt we know that Ginnie was your rock behind all of your work that we love, Bob.
And it sounds like she left you all with a strong family to help each other along.
God bless you all as you go through these first tough holidays Thanksgiving and Christmas. And know that we love you guys and appreciate all you´ve done to make us smile.

I loved both Newhart shows, success in marriage says a lot (60 years, AMAZING!). "... he will stick to his wife, and they will become one flesh." Bob and Ginnie Newhart an example of FOREVER.

To the family of the wonderful wife and mother, Ginnie Newhart, behind the greatest comedian on television ever. I never missed a show, watched reruns continuously, and always knew in my heart that Bob must have the most wonderful, supportive wife; such a happy fella in his interviews and articles written about him and his household. My condolences to the entire family of Mrs. Ginnie Newhart.

Newhart told the story of how she and her husband met in the early 1960s, set up on a blind date by comedian Buddy Hackett. After on-and-off dating, they were married on January 12, 1963. The daughter of character actor Bill Quinn, Newhart had some small acting roles, and she appeared on celebrity game shows including "Tattletales" and "Super Password." She conceived the idea for the iconic season finale to her husband´s 1980s sitcom, "Newhart" - in a surprising twist, his character wakes up in bed with his wife from his previous sitcom, the 1970s hit "The Bob Newhart Show," implying that the entire second show had been a dream.

Bob, I´m so sorry for your loss, I know how much your beloved wife meant to you. You and I met after the tragic days of 9/11. I took you downtown Manhattan to view the World Trade Center after the tragedy. Your genuine heartfelt concern of the tragedy confirmed my opinion of you . Please accept my condolences of the loss of your wife. So many people and fans love you but I actually met the real Mr Newhart and I can assure that everyone who shares those feelings are correct. You are a genuine gentleman and icon of American culture.
