Dear Jenny, as we approach the one year anniverary of your father's passing, I am thinking of you and your family. I see sadness in your eyes every day when I see you and know what you are thinking. My beautiful and most handsome uncle Gino. Are you really gone? That's just so crazy. All I can think of is how precious Kaitlyn looked in your teddy bear arms while she slept. How I will miss watching you putting her to sleep...when no one else could. Poker nights...I can see you right now saying "all in", getting up from your seat, and going outside to have a smoke in hope that when you got back you would have won the hand! Often you didn't! I'm laughing right now remembering your usual saying..."I don't know how to play poker!" I miss you so much already. I love you. The kids love you. I miss you. xoxox

To Gino, it is such a tragedy that you should be taken from your loving family and friends at such an early age. I only knew you for the last 8 years but you had become an important part of my life. You were accepting of me from the very first time we met. You wished only good things for me and Rose. I began to look forward to our visits to your home every summer. I sit here and look at your picture still shocked, numb and in disbelief. It feels like a bad joke and that you are at home with Aunt Cathy, Chris and Jenny the way it should be. Family get togethers will never be the same without your charm and your wit. You have touched all of our lives and hearts in a way that you will never know. It has been a pleasure and an honour to be your niece and to have been blessed to have you as my uncle.

There are too many favorite moments for me to choose from, in fact i can't seem to think of one single occasion where we didn't enjoy our time together. I can't begin to tell you how it made me feel to see you spend time with my kids. Seeing you with them reminded me of how great it has always been to have an uncle like you. I've been thinking allot about many of our conversations and all of your wonderful advice and suggestions that helped with many of my uncertainties, and i don't know if i ever expressed to you how much they meant to me. I just needed to tell you that i appreciate all of it.
