unequalled with his warm and wonderful timbre ,pippa was the idol of the non-italian crowd in ireland and canada. I had the pleasure of meeting him with Monica , backstage at a concert in rome when monica was just starting out and pippa was a little late-well worth waiting for!

Giuseppe di Stefano will live on in the hearts and minds of opera and Neapolitan song lovers. He has no equal in today's present crop of tenors. There are some tenors to whom I enjoy listening from the post WWII era, but Maestro di Stefano is my personal favourite. He's now resting in peace with God and angels in heaven.

Monica, so sorry to hear of your loss. Pipo was very special to our family. My father, Steve Bedalow, put on concerts for Pipo in Chicago. We also traveled to many cities in the United States to see him in concert. My name is Claudia Candella(Bedalow) and my sister, Stephanie Scalise(Bedalow) spent many nights, mornings listening to our favorite tenor. Please know that our prayers are with you.

Our Deepest Sympathies for the Loss of a Great Tenor Giuseppe Di Stefano. I remember growing up and listening to La Grande Voce di Giuseppe Di Stefano. My Papa would play his records over and over again. Grazie.
