NORTHUMBERLAND — Gladys I. Lebo, 90, of Northumberland and formerly of Trevorton, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016, at Nottingham Village-Nursing Center, Northumberland.
She was born March 28, 1926 in Herndon, a daughter of the late Isaac T. and Tamie U. (Erdman) Byerly.
Gladys was married April 27, 1946, in Herndon, to Herbert M. Lebo, who preceded her in death Sept. 14, 1984.
Gladys was a longtime resident of Trevorton. She was a graduate of Herndon High School. After high school she attended nursing school at Danville. She was a homemaker and did babysitting for many Trevorton children.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Trevorton, and was active in church activities. She formerly served as treasurer for Trevorton Patsies. Gladys enjoyed camping and traveling.
She is survived by four sons and two daughters, Kenneth Lebo, of Shamokin, Dave Lebo and wife, Donna, of Trevorton, Richard Lebo and wife, Marsha, of Delaware, Edward Lebo, of Trevorton, Bonnie Straub and husband, Daniel, of Sunbury, and Darla DeSantis and husband, John, of Winfield; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Wayne "Butch" Lebo, and two brothers, Lawrence and Melvin Byerly.
LEBO — Gladys I. Lebo, 90, of Northumberland and formerly of Trevorton. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, 601 W. Market St., Trevorton, with the Rev. Frederick Faust officiating. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church. Burial will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park Cemetery, Stonington. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Glady's memory to Zion Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 601 W. Market St., Trevorton 17881.
