My condolences; Dean, Nancy and Trish. Still remember ol' Glen hauling that big mail pouch all over town. He had a distinct "gate" in his walk that I can still see......They don't make em' like him anymore. Jeff Hocker

I am so sorry about Glen,His parents Daisy and Glen came to Wenatchee with my father Merrell Points and grandma Rose from Inavale in 1936. I have lots of memories with the Mitchell family when I was growing up. I also cannot go to the memorial, but my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sorry to hear of cousin Glen's passing. Last time I saw him was at a reunion a few years back when cousin Harold was here on his last visit to the northwest from Red Cloud. Glen was an avid walker and talker who always had experiences to share about his mail route.

Dean, Nancy and Trish, Uncle Glen was such a treat. I'll always remember his sense of humor and his sly-like a fox-look and smile. He's in a good place with JoAnn, our Dad, and the rest of the Mitchells. Thoughts and Prayers for all of you.

We were sorry to hear about Glen. Our Thoughts and prayers are with all the Mitchell family. Unfortunately, we're out of town and will not be able to attend the memorial service for Glen on January 10. One of my favorite memories after moving to Washington from Nebraska included the frequent trips through or to Ellensburg to visit Uncle Glen, Aunt Daisy and many of my Mitchell cousins including "Junior" as we knew Glen Jr. in our younger years. Glen always impressed me through the years with his great walking accomplishments and great sense of humor. The positive impacts he had on the lives of others will live on. Are thoughts are with all the family during this time of loss.

Glen was so good to our children when they were growing up.
He never met a stranger. He could come up with a funny story.

In 2004/5 Glen was a huge inspiration for me when I was helping our men in Iraq. He and Gene K. came to all the meetings I held and helped me send thousands of dollars worth of items to our troops. So, I agree with Mel and
Sandy, "Stand Down Soldier" you've done way more than your duty. Lots of love and prayers to your family. With Extreme respect to you Mr. Mitchell.
Sincerely,
Laurie U'ren (Fisher)

We met Glen at High Gate in Yakima. My father was there and Glen was a good friend to him. Glen would joke about the wind in Ellensburg and he told us about his job as a mailman. Even though my father could not talk at that time Glen always looked after him and he would tell us how my father was doing when we weren't there. Glen was just a sweetie. He worried about my father and our family. When my father passed away we let Glen know how important his friendship was to our dad and to us. I hope he says HI to our dad when he sees him.

Whenever he spoke before a group, you felt you knew him personally - even if you had known him a short time. He looked at everyone in a favorable light. He was truly a friend in every sense of the word.

Of the many memories of "Mitch" that I've accumulated over the decades of knowing him, I'll remember his good-natured sense of humor, along with his genuine smile and warm chuckle. I can't remember him ever complaining or saying anything negative about anyone. He and his family have truly felt like a part of my family, since knowing him as a kid, when I attended Chestnut Street Bapt. Church.
