Daddy,

It will be one year tomorrow since we said our good-byes. I miss you so very much. I consider myself so very blessed to have had you as my dad. You taught us all about character, respect, honesty, caring and compassion. You taught us about what it is to be a good person, not just by talking to us about it, you lived it. You lead by example. If I am able to be a tenth of the person you were, I couldn't wish for more.

You were such a giving person; when our soccer team needed a coach, you jumped right in and helped our team to get as far as we ever had. You had the respect and admiration of the whole team. After a grueling tournament, you took the time to write a letter to each person on the team, including me, to let us know that we had achieved working as a team, and that you could not ask for any more from us because we had given our all and that you were proud of how we all performed. That letter is the most treasure item I have.

I look at our lives growing up and I cannot help but smile. We had such a good life growing up and many fond memories. I cannot Thank You enough. I want to honor you, by living my life they way you lived yours. I strive to be as good a parent as you were, to be as loving a spouse as you were to mom. To be able to face challenges like you did - head on and straight forward with Jason hockey mask and all. (I know you smiled at that!) I strive to give the best I have to offer in all that I do - to honor you – to continue your legacy.

The love of us kids, friends and family cannot hold a candle to love you have for mom. I promise you, I will do everything I am able to do to comfort, and make sure that mom is taken care of.

There is so much more that I want to say to reveal what a great man you were, but all that were blessed enough to know you, already know. Dad, you are missed and loved so very much. Thank you for all that you have taught us, provided for us, lived, loved and so much more.

I love you and miss you.

Your loving daughter,

Sheryl

I am so sorry to hear about this. Glen and I had been talking back and forth on email and he was giving me progress reports. He was truly a great friend. We worked together, played together, bowled together, and generally had a great time together. I will miss him deeply.

I was very sorry to hear about Glen. He was talented, capable, extremely humorous but most importantly a genuinely nice person in our Army civilian personnel community. His slides on OPM or PPP achievements (always blank) were a big hit at staffing training courses. We'll miss him.

My heartfelt condolences to you Connie and your family. Glen was always a great help to me. I remember the time that I was expecting and the doctor would not let me work overtime. I kept the children for Glen because you had to work and he worked for me. My deepest sympathy to you. We all loved Glen. If I can ever be of any assistance to you, please let me know.

I met Glen in 1975 upon my return from overseas and assignment to the office where he worked. He was the kind of guy who made you feel like you had known him for years and gave you immediate comfort with your new surroundings. He was a top notch co-worker and a first class human being.
