Glenda Forrest Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 29, 2014.
Sue was a God sent woman born on April 16, 1950 in Hugo, Oklahoma to Roscoe and Mary Lou (Godwin) Frames and passed away in Athens, Tx on August 28, 2014 at the age of 64. Sue was a wonderful cook known for her "Pink Stuff" and a homemaker where she took care of the family and her proudest moments in life was the day her son William was born. Everyday special memories were made in the Forrest home where Sue would often sing her favorite gospel songs and play the piano for her children. When Sue was not tending to the family at their home you could find her shopping at the local Walmart, Goodwill or Resource Center where she was the employee's biggest fan with her daughter Nova. She loved pigs and had quite a collection of them. Sue deeply loved the Lord and helped her husband, Burley Forrest establish 5 Full Gospel Tabernacles throughout their 47 years of marriage. Sue was also deeply loved by her daughter-in-law, Helen Forrest who was considered a daughter to the family.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents; Roscoe and Mary Lou Frames and daughter, Mary Beatrice Forrest. Sue will be deeply missed by her husband, Burley Forrest, beautiful daughter, Nova Frames and son, William Forrest and wife, Helen. Sue also leaves to cherish her grandson's, John Roscoe Forrest, William Earl Forrest, James Paul Forrest and wife, Haley who is expecting Sue's First Great Grandchild in April. Sue is survived by her granddaughter, Catherine Beatrice Roberts and husband, Landon, sister-in-law, Sue Ann Young and a host of extended family and friends. Sue will be deeply missed by her very best friends, Pat Manness and Debbie Parker as well as many church members that Sue and Burley touched the lives of over many years and many congregations. Her beautiful playing of the piano will be so greatly missed by many.
