Glenda Tyler McDougall

Glenda Tyler McDougall passed away suddenly on March 10, 2025 at the age of 81 after a brief illness. Born in Pitts Georgia to James Tyler and Lottie Whittle Tyler, she was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many.

Glenda was an exceptional mom to her children and pets, beloved sister, fabulous mother-in-law and a ride or die BFF to her best friend Diane. She was preceded by her son, Ron and ex-husband Harley and is survived by her daughter, Jeannette, son Don (and Lisa), sister Pat, brother James, grandchildren Conner, Ava and Sydney, daughter-in-law MaKayla as well as numerous and beloved relatives and friends.

Glenda worked as a legal assistant in South Florida for over 40 years. After retirement she moved to Clay County and became a volunteer with the Clay County Guardian Ad Litem program where she dedicated 10 years to advocating for the children of Clay County Florida. She often said the children's hugs were the best part of her job.

Glenda was a compassionate and dedicated woman who also firmly believed in supporting the veterans of our country. She not only donated regularly to veteran causes but also prepared holiday cards each year at Christmas so that our military could feel some of the holiday spirit she loved.

She was creative and an extraordinary seamstress although few probably knew.

In lieu of services or flowers, donations can be made to Safe Animal Shelter in Middleburg Florida or donations of any kind can be made to a hospice organization (Community, Northeast Florida, Haven, etc.)
