LIMA -- Glenda M. Perkins-Jones, 56, passed away at 6:58 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Mercy Health St. Rita's in Lima.
Glenda was born on April 9, 1965 in Salyersville, KY, to Glen Fletcher and Anna Mae (Workman) Gibson. While on October 29, 2005 she and Thomas Jones said their vows to one another, they have been together for 33 loving years.
Glenda was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and fishing. She was the glue that held the family together; a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was her world.
She is survived by her husband; mother; children: Starla Perkins, Ashley (Brian) Mills, LeAnn Perkins, Tyler Perkins and Kaitlyn Deal; grandchildren: Brian Mills Jr., Daryl Tolbert, Khalib Reynolds, David Thompson Jr., Bryson Mills, Brooklynn Thompson and Brelyn Mills; great-grandchild, Aria Perkins; brother, Glen Edward Fletcher; special brother, Randy Robertson, special sister, Yvonne Gibson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; father-in-law, James Jones; sisters, Anna Faye Green, Brenda Kay Fletcher and Linda Gail Fletcher; and brother, Glen Davis.
A visitation will be held from 12 – 1 p.m. on Monday, February 7, 2022 at Memorial Park Mausoleum. A private family graveside service will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
