Glenn BRECKENRIDGE Obituary
Born October 23, 1958 in Calgary, Alberta, passed away June 28, 2012 in Toronto, Ontario after a courageous fight against pancreatic cancer. Glenn attended James Fowler High School, graduated from SAIT in Journalism, Calgary and Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Photography, Toronto. Glenn lived and worked in Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto which has been his home for the last 20 years. Glenn's love of travel has taken him to Hawaii, London, Paris, South America, Anguilla, Mexico, India and most recently on a cruise to the Mediterranean and Rome. Glenn was a kind and gentle person and will be dearly missed by his partner Ankur Bhojane, parents Joan and George, sister Sandra and her husband Bruce Brown, nephew Jordan Brown, niece Lindsay Brown, niece Nichole Breckenridge and her son Landen, niece Danielle Breckenridge, father-in-law Subhash Bhojane and sister-in-law Anagha Bhojane and his beloved dog Dottie. Glenn was also Godfather to Alessia Rizzello and Julian Desrochers-Dioso. Glenn was predeceased by his brother Gordon in 1997 and his mother-in- law Hira Bhojane in 2009. We are thankful for the care given to him by the doctors and nurses at St. Michael's Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital and especially the staff at the Palliative Care Unit at St. Michael's Hospital. Glenn appreciated the love and support he received over the past months. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in Glenn's memory may be sent to "Palliative Care Unit" at St. Michael's Hospital, 30 Bond Street, Toronto, ON M5B 1W8. A private cremation took place on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 followed by an open house at Glenn and Ankur's residence between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at 323-2B Queen Street East, Toronto.

Take comfort in knowing you have a special guardian angel to watch over you. I remember Glen from our Elementary School/Jr. High School days. He was good natured and definitely a creative thinker. I feel very lucky that he was one of my neighbors.

I am heartbroken to have heard the news today. Glenn was the best buddy pal a gal could ever have especially during our glory high school and college days. What fun we had. He was always charming, polite,kind,caring, giving, gentle and his sense of humour & style amazing. I hold a heart full of smiles when I think of him. I wish you all much love during this sad time. Dear George, Joan, and all the other wonderful people who were a part of Glenn's life -
I am so sorry that Glenn had such a struggle with the brutal disease of cancer, but I'm so pleased that he was able to take a memorable cruise after his treatment and before he was too weak to enjoy his travels. Too, I think he died the way we all want to - surrounded by those we love.
