I danced in his hair shows. He did my hair for many years. I will always remember him.

I am so sorry to hear of Glenn's passing!! I have many wonderful memories with Glenn. I first had the pleasure of meeting him back in the 1970's when he was fresh out of cosmetology school and working in a shop on Vanowen St in Van Nuys, Ca. He became a good friend and would often come to my home to cut and groom all of my children, my husband and myself....line us up in the kitchen...and one by one make us beautiful or handsome! He use to practice braiding and creating unique hairdos on my very long hair....he was the first to talk me into cutting my hair for the first time in over 20 years!
I will never forget the day he invited me to his shop after closing hours...coaxing me with wine...(I was VERY nervous) and then proceeded to cut my hair to my shoulders AND permed it!! I had to have my husband pick me up since I had drunk too much courage! By the next morning imagine my shock when I got into the shower and NO hair hanging down my back! It was sooooo strange to me! I was very nervous to go to work and have everyone see my hair gone...however, it was such a great job...many, many compliments...I was forever grateful for his advice and art work!
I donated my hair to Glenn who gave it to a good cause and NO ONE else cut my hair for well over 20 years. When my job took me to Phoenix, AZ, I would travel to Woodland Hills, Calabasas, etc just to get my hair done by Glenn! I referred friends, family and anyone who ever asked to him.
I am honored and blessed to have known your father. I hope it comforts you to know that your grief is shared by all of us who knew your dad. He was a wonderful man and he will be sorely missed.
