Glenn Jetton Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 31, 2025.
Glenn Forest Jetton, born on March 24, 1955, in Richland, Washington, passed away on August 29, 2025, in Kennewick, Washington. He was 70 years old.

Glenn's early years were rooted in the Tri-Cities area of Washington. He graduated from Columbia High School in 1973 and went on to earn his degree from Columbia Basin College in 1976. His life was marked by a strong work ethic and a diverse career path that reflected his adaptability and dedication.

Over the years, Glenn held a variety of positions across multiple industries. He worked at the Hanford Site and later drove for Swift Transportation. He also served as a semi-truck driver for the U.S. Mail route between Kennewick, Washington, and Caldwell, Idaho. His professional journey included roles as an apartment manager in Pasco, security personnel at Boise Cascade Wallula, and later with First Coast Security of Oregon. In each role, Glenn brought reliability and a sense of humor that left lasting impressions on those around him.

Glenn had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He found joy in fishing and camping at Bunkers Resort-places where he could relax and connect with nature. A skilled craftsman, he loved building birdhouses by hand. His passion for car racing led him to own and race his own car at Tri-City Raceway during an exciting chapter of his life. Glenn also cherished time spent with friends playing cards and dice games-moments filled with laughter and camaraderie.

He was known for his quick wit and practical jokes, bringing levity to everyday life and brightening the days of those fortunate enough to know him.

Glenn is survived by his beloved wife, Gracie Jetton of Kennewick; daughter Jenae Jetton of Renton; sons Peter Baines of Kennewick and David Baines of Yelm; Grandsons Jaxson Baines and Lucas Baines of Yelm; Cousin Mark Davis of Richland, Tino & Cheryl Ramano of Richland, Theresa Olsen, Brother Ken Goldsmith and Wife Julie of Kennewick; Sisters Kathy Goldsmith of Bellingham and Cheri McGee and Husband Ted of Kennewick, and Jane Smith of Auburn California.

He was preceded in death by his parents Horace and Eula Jetton; birth father Frank Harold Forest Genoe; birth mother Barbara Goldsmith; Sister Diane McComis; and Brother Bobby Goldsmith. Special thank you to the staff at Lourdes Health in Pasco, Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice-Care, and the Kennewick Fire Department for all their help and support.

May Glenn's memory bring comfort to all who knew him and may his legacy live on through the stories shared by family and friends.
