Kuya Glenn, the dedication you had to your family and the positivity shown throughout your illness was truly inspirational. I will never forget your humor, your smile, and your hair that was the envy of all the Lugod titos. :-) You will be missed dearly. May you rest in peace.

O Loving Father and Savior, send your angels to carry the soul of your servant from this earth to the heavenly place of eternal and everlasting life. Let family and friends who have passed before in faith be reunited in joy with the departed. Forgive any wrongs that have been committed and welcome this beloved spirit into the warm embrace of your unending peace. Amen.

We had one year to prepare for whatever was to come. I thought that I would be prepared but my heart is still broken into a million pieces and the heartache is unexplainable. When you and mom first told me that you were diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer cancer, I didn't know what to do, I didn't know what to think. But your selflessness said, "Do not question God about this one bad thing that happened to our family, because we never once questioned him for all the good things that has happened. We are so lucky that we didn't waste anytime apart as a family. We were always together from when we lived in the Philippines all the way to when we moved to the US in 2004. We were able to travel together and create lot of great memories. Most importantly, we were given this time to talk and to say what we needed to say to each other."
You are, indeed, so selfless, dad. You have been such a great father to Carlo and I and a wonderful husband to mom. Thank you for all the lessons that you've taught us. Thank you for teaching and showing us the beauty and importance of traveling. For teaching us the lesson of selflessness when you and mom sacrificed your great, comfortable lives in the Philippines to move Carlo and I to the US so that we could both have great futures. You taught us the lesson of giving your all to your children and never holding them back from absolutely anything. You were always there for our basketball games, cross country meets, track meets, school plays, you name it. You taught us how to lighten up every gloomy situation and to not take life so seriously. During the last cruise we went on as a family in Europe, there were so many things that you said and did that lightened up the mood, even when cancer faced our family.
Most importantly, you taught us what strength and courage really mean. Your courage the whole through your year-long battle against pancreatic cancer. Your strength as you pushed on chemo after chemo, no matter how much weaker you felt. Dad, you are and will always be the definition of a superhero. You will always be my role model. I will always be a daddy's girl. And mom, Carlo, and I will always love you. You told us to pursue our dreams, to keep traveling, and to keep working hard-- and you'll be there in spirit. You said that the pain and sorrow will only last for a little while and then they will slowly pass. But it hurts so much to think that you're gone dad. But I know there's no more pain, no more suffering, no more chemo, no more treatments, no more medications, no more bad news, no more shattered hopes, no more. You can now rest finally in peace, dad. We will make you so proud dad. I love you always and forever, and I miss you so much, dad.

Chong, your viewing party was jampacked and a huge success! There was a lot of food and the eulogies were heartwarming and emotional. Relatives and friends drove hundreds of miles, some even flew in from out of state just for the weekend to give us comfort and sympathize. Most of the guests went to your house to watch Pacquiao beat Bradley - just like you planned it! We all miss you very much but we rejoice in God because he's freed you from the prison your body has become. You're now home with God in the land of no pain. Rest in peace, bro!
