MOORE, Glenn L.
Passed away in Sacramento December 3, 2006 at the age of 93. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Emily Weisker Moore, children Arthur L. Moore and wife Meg of Milwaukie, OR, William D. Moore and wife Teri of Sacramento, and Nancy Hoagland and husband Ray of Woodland, CA, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was born March 2, 1913 in Potwin, Kansas. He was the third of eight children born to Reuben and Edith Moore. Glenn worked on the family farm and his own farm until joining the Army in 1939. He served in the Army Air Corp throughout World War II and was called up from the reserves for service in the Korean War by the US Air Force in the early 50's. He was employed by the Department of Defense for nearly thirty years at Mather AFB in Sacramento. His occupation was as a radio technician while at Mather. After his first retirement in 1969 he worked as a house painter for over twenty years. He was an avid gardener through out the years supplying vegetables to many households. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Sacramento for 60 years and went out of his way to provide help and service to others. He is and will be missed by all. Memorial Service is 12/21/06 at 11AM at the First Baptist Church at the corner of 24th St. & L St. in Sacramento.
