I was at a dare to be great meetings back in the 70s with my father and my uncle who enjoyed his motivational speaking and his charismatic energy. He had a profound influence on my life as a young man I was able to go to Florida and see his castle that he was building and my dad talked about his positive energy and his, Get jacked up, speeches. Ha ha that was an ongoing fun saying in our family that he started. It was a shame what happened to him as far as going to prison. He will always be remembered as a positive uplifting. God filled man. He helped a lot of people in the business world and helped a lot of people in a personal positive way. i´m so thankful to my father who was also a very positive energetic person. I got to talk to Glen Turner as a young teenager and he inspired me and I´m a better man today because of him. Rest in peace Mr. Turner thank you God for his life.

I was with Turner Ent (Koscot) 1969. Go, Go, Go, get the check! Mr Turner only wanted you to believe in yourself, be positive and help the person behind you. Myself and others who were also part of Koscot and Dare to be Great went on after Koscot and became successful in our own right
and vocation. True success and we have Mr Turner to thank. I miss him, what a motivator. I remember the house and the Castle in Winter Park. We had a training session there one time. The stables were build and the Castle in progress. The Go Tours, Mr Turner helped a lot of people to believe in themselves. Maybe the tactics were not acceptable but the message was there if you believe. Mr Turner, I too became my Santa Claus.
RIP and Thank You.

When I graduated from high school in 1971 in Tampa, they gave a Dare to be Great award. I didn't get it, but it was worth remembering. A friend in Tampa was a big supporter in Glenn's run for the US Senate in 1974. I met Glenn when my friend brought him into the Waffle House in Tampa that I managed.

I met Glenn Turner in 1971 at his headquarters. My partner and I had been offered a Hilton Inn Hotel franchise on International Drive at the soon-to-be-opened Disney World. Glenn was very nice to us but declined to join us as an investor. What I remember most about that meeting was the circular stairway leading up to his office which was very large and it had pure white carpeting with sparkles in the white ceiling. I think he meant his office to resemble heaven.

My favorite memory is riding with Glenn to a restaurant in Orlando. Glenn boasted about the Golden Mercedes he was driving, "it's a gift from my wife" and then continued our conversation about greatness and how our thoughts drive our success. What a pleasure it was to meet and spend time with him, he helped me grow.

Met him in 1982, as a young teen the books cassettes and motivational courses my family attended shaped my thinking and outlook, and had a measurable effect on my life plan. I don’t think people realize how much positive mental attitude was mainstreamed by Dare to Be GREAT.

One of the most unique, positive, encouraging people to ever walk planet earth. Glen's audios and videos inspired me early in my career. Later in life I had the opportunity to meet him and spend many hours with him becasue of our mutual friend, Michael Penland. Through our times speaking on the phone and at events together very few people spoke into my life and tens of thousands of others, like Glen Turner.

I was shocked to see this obit for Glenn. I began working for him in 1969 in the Koscot division. He helped my daughter get on the right path of life. We always started our day with a motivational speech from him. He was so positive. Lived what he preached. Not been in touch over the years but always thought about him and the things he taught his employees. His words have served me well over the years. The best years and job of my life.

Glenn: Because of my experiences and relationship with you and your proteges and followers beginning in 1978 I realized that inspiration can come from within at all times and especially when the chips are down it’s perfectly OK to go to your Lord and Savior and pray and ask for the abundance of courage, enthusiasm and optimism that the Lord has naturally given us. You inspired me to ask for that constantly and taught me that focusing intensely can make an extreme difference in a persons life. I will be always grateful for the courses I took in Challenge to America between 1979 and 1981 having been a member of Project Genesis. I knew your heart and will see you soon in the afterlife. May God bless you and all of those people you inspired to keep pushing and to keep “Daring to Be Great” !!

You inspired me when I was 20 years old and has led me to a very successful life on what I learned from you. When you where at the Cathedral of Tomorrow in Akron, Ohio and in the middle of your speech came down off the podium and walked up to me and said you are a millionaire gave me the inspiration to become one. You motivated me in an unexpected way and I am sincerely in you debt. To this day I am not sure why you picked me?

Glenn, you woke up so many of us who were sleep-walking through life.
You let us know there was a better way.
You told us that we too could Dare To Be Great!
You told us that EVERYONE has a handicap and that you were lucky enough to have your hare lip up front so that there was never a question about you trying to hide it.
The rest of us have to find our handicap, identify it, and make it a part of our excellence.
You turned on so many lights that had been dark.
Thanks again, Dear Friend.

I met Glenn in 1969. I leased cars to Him and many of his People. At the high point they had 87 cars leased. I supplied some cars they also bought. I stayed in touch, and got a parrot from his cousin some years back. He was a great guy.
