Glenn Elroy Walker

Glenn passed suddenly in Perth Hospital on Thursday, March 23rd, 2023 with his wife, Janice, by his side. Born in Ottawa, raised in Davidson Quebec and Bancroft, Ontario. Son of the late Leander and Violet Walker. Beloved husband of Janice (nee Stephenson). Cherished father of Becky and Lesley Walker. Dear Grandpa of Morgan and Simon Walker. Glenn will be dearly missed by his parents-in-law, Gordon and Marilyn Stephenson, brothers-in-law Brian (Clara) and Don (Bev) and their families. Also fondly remembered by his cousin Iris (Dave) Wilson and the extended Cox and Kelly families.

Glenn was an educator for more than 30 years and truly loved working with young people. He engaged his students with his wit, humour, and creative teaching style. He taught at many local high schools but spent much of his career teaching law and history at P.D.C.I. Glenn loved music, movies and television and shared that enthusiasm with family, friends and with Janice, his companion of 33 years. He also volunteered at The Table and the Great War Memorial Hospital. He pursued his hobbies of playing guitar and ukulele, woodworking and stained glass, and during the pandemic golf.

Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. West, Perth on Thursday March 30th, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Family, close friends and colleagues will come together for a celebration of Glenn's life to the be held in the Blair & Son Family Centre on Friday, March 31st, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. with a sharing of memories at 10:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation - Perth Site would be appreciated.
