Glenna Haley Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 5, 2025.
Glenna Haley, age 81, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025. Glenna was born on September 5, 1944 in Leuders, Texas. She grew up in Fresno, California with her parents, Modell and Glynn Polacek. After meeting her husband, Dan Haley, the two settled in Sacramento, California with their son, Steven Schneider.

Glenna ran a successful CPA firm with her husband for 45 years, and the two restored two homes, including the Pendleton Hyholme mansion in Loomis, California. After retiring, Glenna spent her time with her husband, her family and friends. She loved gardening, hosting a soirée, doing puzzles with her dogs, visiting with her many friends, and enjoying her large family.

Glenna was many things- smart, funny, strong-willed, loving, mischievous, loyal, generous, and feisty. She was passionate about life and passionate about her family. She never hesitated to tell you how she felt, or to give you a hug.

Glenna is survived by her husband, Dan, their daughter, Chelsea, and her spouse, Lony, by her daughters-in-law, Camille and Maryanne, by her grandchildren, Trevor, Teresa, Dillon, Madison, Esme, and Aoife, and by her great grandchildren, Skyler, Delilah and Archer.

A committal service for Glenna will be held on August 15, 2025 at 1 PM at the Newcastle Cemetery. A Celebration of Life party will be held at the Haley family home on August 16, 2025 from 11 AM to 3 PM. A buffet lunch will be served. The family invite you to raise a glass and share your fondest memory of Glenna.

Dearest Dan & Glenna,
We will always treasure our visits to your beautiful home and garden, and the joy of hearing Glenna´s stories about the Tea Party Fundraisers your family so lovingly hosted to bring women together for a meaningful cause.

You will forever be remembered for your generosity, creativity, and the beauty you´ve shared-one Tea Party at a time. We especially loved the Garden Table, as gardening is a passion we share.

To add to loving memories; your ongoing restoration, from 1976 to current: August 2025, of the former "Pendleton Hyholme" built in 1901-1904 exemplifies your true labor of love which fueled you to transform your historic home into "The Haley Mansion & Garden Estate. It´s nothing less than an extraordinary gift to Loomis.

The elegant gardens, glowing pathways, koi pond, and countless thoughtful details enrich its legacy which will continue for generations to come. Every stone, plant, and feature reflects both your vision and the blessings God has given you to create lasting beauty. From planting vibrant trees and shrubs to laying original rock from the property to form garden steps, you have left an indelible mark on this community´s history and your dedication and skill stand as a true example of preserving and enhancing something remarkable.

From our hearts to yours-Thank you for the incredible gift you´ve created together. We are deeply grateful to have you as neighbors and friends, and you are loved beyond measure.

With love,
The Soldano Family

I had the pleasure of knowing Glenna in two ways, one as business professional and as great friend. We all shared many good times together over a glass wine and good conversation. I Especially remember the time of going to Tahoe with Glenna, Betty, DAN, and myself. We may have had a couple of glass's of wine or three and Glenna and Betty started dancing on the dining room floor. Both of them grinning from ear to ear. Just having a fun time. Great Memories. I will also miss Glenna´s mischievous laugh. Love and hugs, Milt

I will always remember the kindness and generosity of Glenna. She was a true friend to me when I was going through a rough patch of my life. She was a cherished friend with a big heart. Glenna taught me how to nurture my roses and I think of her often. My sincere condolences to her family.

We love you Glenna. You were always such a welcoming neighbor, with a smile and a hug. You treated our kids like second grandchildren, spoiling them with pool time, fruit from the orchard, trick or treats and graden bounties.
We could clearly see the love Dan and you shared how lucky you both were. We couldn't be happier to have shared our Surette time with you as friends and neighbors. You will be deeply missed my friend.

I've known Glenna for so many years, and one of my favorite memories of her still makes me smile. We were in New Orleans with Vivian and Ed Martin and ended up in a lively Cajun bar.
Glenna, tiny as she was, somehow ended up on stage with a
washboard strapped to her chest
-playing music with the band and bouncing around like a jumping bean! It was the most unexpected, hilarious, and perfectly Glenna moment. Her jo! is contagious, and vou couldn't ..help but laugh along with her.
She may have been small in stature, but Glenna had one of the biggest hearts l've ever known.
Her feistiness, warmth, and light will never be forgotten.
Rest in peace, Glenna Girl.
