Gloria Capps

Gloria Ross Capps of Hoover, AL, passed away on August 7, 2019. She was often described as "the rock of our family" and loved her time spent on the beaches of Gulf Shores. She retired from U. S. Steel Local 1013 after many devoted years as their office manager. Mrs. Capps will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Jack Y. Capps; her mother, Nettie Ross; her daughter, Sherri Neff; and her granddaughter, Melissa Pilgreen. Survivors include: daughter, Tamala C. Douglas (John); son, Kenneth Capps; granddaughter, Leah Douglas Gibbs (Thomas); grandson, Dr. Jonathon Douglas (Tara); and four great grandchildren: Haley Cremeans; Jackson, Tamsyn and Ben Gibbs. A private Family Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
