Gloria Elizabeth Duso went to be with the Lord on March 17, 2013. She was 90 years old. Gloria was born January 17, 1923, in Bay City, the daughter of Joseph and Bertha Annalena (Wagner) Auer. Gloria is predeceased by her husband, Francis Albert Duso, infant daughter Jeanine, son Dennis P. Duso and his wife Renie, her parents, four brothers and three sisters-in-law. She is survived by two daughters, Diane (Michael) Patterson of Bay City, Jeanne Boudot of Freeland, and a son Steven Francis Duso of Bay City. And a very special granddaughter, Kerri Ann (Brian) Slachta of Bay City and their children Kollin and Dylan. She also leaves eight grandsons, Craig (Fiancee Courtney Giles) Boudot, Steven Boudot, Kevin Boudot, Michael Duso, Nicholas Whiteherse (Kym), Jason Whiteherse (Rachelle), Adam Whiteherse (Katy) and Eric Whiteherse (Stephanie), a granddaughter Angela Boudot and ten great grandchildren, five handsome boys and six beautiful little girls. Also best friend Beatrice "Pete" Auer, special friends Leonard Boudot, Kylie Giles and Peyton Wallaker. Gloria attended schools in Bay City and graduated from Bay City Central High School in 1940. She married the late Francis Albert Duso on February 23, 1946, and became a homemaker after working at Bay City Chevrolet during World War II making parts for the war effort. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, baseball (Detroit Tigers and Little League), harness horse racing and bingo. Visitation with family will be Friday, March 22, 2013 at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at which time a memorial service will be held. The Rev. Mark Luetzow will officiate. Friends and family thinking of a memorial are asked to consider Bethel Ev. Lutheran Church "Feed My Lambs" or a children's charity of choice to honor Gloria's love for children.
