Dear Gellner Family
I was a roommate of Gloria's in Sept at Victoria Hospital in London. What a nice person she was with a great sense of humor. Did she get her furniture moved by SP? May you be blessed by her memories.

Gloria made me a cool little clay bubble-gum holder when I was in grade school, and her other creations were always amazing. She was always full of smiles whenever I visited with her. My prayers are with you Robert and Marion.

"It is a good thing to be rich, and a good thing to be strong, but it is a better thing to be beloved of many friends" - Euripedes
Gloria chose to be a potter not for wealth or fame but passion for the art. She never once wavered in her decision, even when it seemed almost impossible financially to go on... the pottery gods must have been smiling down at her because somehow things always worked out fine. Her strength was her immutable steely resolve to keep at her craft, lovingly producing beautiful pieces.
Gloria regarded her pots as her babies and struggled at times with letting some special ones go, making sure that if she did make the sacrifice in order to pay bills, it was to a very worthy recipient.
Ever the consummate teacher, Gloria delighted in the successes of her students: gentle and oh so patient! she nurtured and inspired her proteges, many of whom became not just life-long students but also good friends and family to her. Gloria so enjoyed her classes that at times she felt a bit guilty taking money when she was having so much fun! No matter what life threw at her she considered herself so very blessed to be doing what she loved best.
I had the great good fortune to have had Gloria as my mentor and dear friend for many years (albeit not at all long enough!).
Wherever you may now be Glo, I imagine you are happily at your wheel throwing celestial pots...
Marion, Aunt Joyce, Rob and family: my deepest sorrow for your loss, with love

Gloria introduced me to the throwing of clay at Potters Four 25 years ago! My pieces will be even more cherished and her energy encircles them all. Rest sweetly Gloria.
