GLORIA A. (PICA)
Age 87, of O'Hara Twp., passed away peacefully on Friday, March 28, 2014, with her family at her side. Beloved wife of the late Raymond B. Greco; loving mother of Donna (Dr. George) Wehrle of O'Hara Twp., R. Dale (Julie) Greco of Franklin Park and Dana Greco of O'Hara Twp.; cherished grandmother of Lara Wehrle, Christopher Wehrle, Bryan Greco and Alison Greco; sister of the late Mary Rossi, Americo Pica, Fred Pica, Mario Pica and Vera Freshwater; also survived by nieces and nephews. Friends received Monday 5 - 8 p.m. at the WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Ave. Aspinwall, where a parting prayer will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Christian Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Scholastica Church, Aspinwall. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggest memorial contributions to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Ave., Pgh., PA 15212, or Good Samaritan Hospice, 3500 Brooktree Rd., Suite 320, Wexford, PA 15090 or to a charity of your choice.

I was the fastest eater in my family, but I couldn't hold a candle to the Greco's ; Graciously Mrs. Greco didn't sit down to eat until she had served every one seconds, so it ended up with Mrs. Greco and I having dinner together most of the time. She made the Gold Standard for Gnocchi and would bypass Dana to invite me to dinner when she made them. As a truck driver and traveler I have search 46 states and several countries in a futile attempt to find that Magic plate of Gnocchi. She will be remembered fondly as I continue my Quest in vain.
