Gloria J. Williams

Gloria Jean (Matthews) Williams age 80 Gary,In passed away July 19,2025. She was born on April 5, 1945, in Ashland, MS to Charlie and Jennettie Matthews who both preceded her in death. She attended Old Salem High School in Ashland, Ms. In 1973 Gloria married the late Tommie L. Williams and the couple relocated to Gary, In. To this union one child was born: Kajaral Anjonnette Williams who preceded her in death. Gloria was employed by US Steel Mill until their downturn and was later employed as a CNA until her health prevented her from working. Gloria dedicated her life to Jehovah God and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on July 2, 1986. She soon began sharing in the pioneer work and giving her time and energy to learn and help others learn the truths found in God's word. She was a constant figure at the Kingdom Hall for the past 39 years and enjoyed traveling to various conventions and assemblies. Gloria was preceded in death by her Brother: Clyde Matthews and Sisters: Jestine Ingram and Charline Coleman.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her Sister Alberneice Fields, Niece: Sonja McCoy, Nephews: Travis Matthews, Stanley Fields, Steven Fields and a host of family and friends.
