Obituary draft:

Glynnette Marie Hale, née Morris, age 65, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2024, after an eight-year battle with cancer. Born on January 3, 1959, in Santa Fe and raised in Pecos, she was the beloved daughter of the late Glenn Morris and F. Eva Morris.

Glynnette graduated from Pecos High School and went on to receive her degree from the Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute, marking the beginning of a distinguished professional career.

Glynnette is survived by her devoted son, Nathan Hale, and his wife Alexandra (Schold) Hale. She was a loving grandmother to Patrick, Theodore, and Mathilda Hale, and a beloved aunt to Jamie Embry and her family, Daniel, Asher, and Paige Embry; Erin Crosby and her family, Raven, Kyle, and Ellyanna Crosby; Elizabeth Tapia (d) and her family; and, Arthur Francis "Quattro" Gillis IV. Glynnette loved her nieces and nephews as though they were her own children. She also leaves behind her stepson, Joe Hale, and his family, Kendra, Colton, James, and Stephanie Hale, and numerous close friends whom she regarded as family.

Glynnette was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Arthur Francis "Tres" Gillis III and James Gary Morris, her grandparents Doris Mente Phillips and Carl L. Phillips, and her niece Elizabeth Tapia. Her ex-husband Bruce W. Hale, with whom she shared 22 years of marriage, also passed before her.

A lifelong member of the American Society of Professional Estimators, Glynnette dedicated over a decade to serving on its board, including multiple terms as the Roadrunner Chapter President. Her professional career spanned over 16 years at Bradbury and Stamm as a Certified Professional Estimator and another 16 years as a Credit Manager for W&W Steel.

Glynnette's passion for ballooning was evident in her numerous contributions to the New Mexico ballooning community and the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. She served as a board member and Chief Scoring Official for Top Gun Ballooning, leaving an indelible mark on the sport she loved.

Beyond ballooning, Glynnette had a zest for life and enjoyed watching baseball and NASCAR. Known for her unwavering optimism and good spirits, she faced every challenge with grace and strength.

Glynnette's legacy as a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, and aunt will forever be remembered by her family and friends. Her contributions to her community and her dedication to her family are a testament to the remarkable woman she was.

From the moment I moved here on June 4,1996 until Gynnie´s passing, she ALWAYS made me feel like family. From the times we were invited for celebrations to ballooning activities, we usually ended up at Glynnette´s with her cooking and feeding us through nighttime swimming in the pool. We saw her the last time Jamie was in and got to really visit. Nate, she really looked like she was feeling better. Just know we still feel like family and always will. We love you Nate and Joe. We´re here if you ever need us. Roxanne & Hopie

My mother married Glynnette´s uncle John Philips, he brought us to the United States. When we arrived from Italy we visited Aunt Eva and her family, Glynnette was my step cousin and always made an effort for me to feel like here immediate family, she was kind and loving. I will greatly miss our relationship and conversation.

Served me a La Paz burger at her moms La Paz restaurant in mid 70s first time I met her. So many memories of a special lady that loved her family and accomplished so very much. You will be sorely missed.
