Gordon J. Eplett

EPLETT, Gordon J. Entered into the presence of God from Santa Rosa on Sunday, August 25, 2002. He was well loved by his wife, children, and grandchildren and respected by all who knew him. Predeceased by wife Ada in 1984, he later married Florence Anson, who has been his devoted wife for 12 years. He also leaves sons, Richard, James and Gene Eplett. He will be missed by stepdaughters, Carolyn Leines and Bev Anson; daughters-in-law, Leota and Judi; and grandchildren, Laura, Julie and Chris. He was born in Bellingham, WA and was 90 years of age at his death. He became a Salvation Army officer in 1933 and served God and mankind in this ministry until his retirement in 1977. He was the business administrator for The Salvation Army headquarters in Chicago, IL at the time of his retirement. A strong, quiet man of faith, he volunteered his time to Salvation Army activities and enjoyed his family and his current home at Paulin Creek Lodge. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held at The Salvation Army Chapel, 115 Pierce St., Santa Rosa, on Sunday, September 1, at 3:00 pm.
