Very sad to read of Gord´s passing. He joined the Peterborough Police Force a year after my father Ray Duncan and together they rose in ranks because they were good dedicated cops who gave it their all to make Peterborough a safe community during their 30+ years of service. Gord was always very nice to me as a young girl and I remember his wide grin and laugh. He and my dad have a lot of catching up to do now. I have many fond memories of your Dad when you and I were in high school. He was always so kind and easy to talk to. And he would tell such amazing stories!

At the top of the list of people who influenced my family´s lives in Peterborough well-being and sports. Great remember aces Gord.

Gord and I worked together through the same time frame and I admired him as a good friend and colleague. As a supervisor and manager, he demanded a great deal from staff, willingly gave sound council and guidance and was the first to reward good work. I will remember him as a fair, dedicated, honest and competent officer, an outstanding credit to the Peterborough community. Carol & I extend our deepest sympathy to SueAnne, Yvonne and family

Worked with Gord in the intense environment of the Criminal Investigation Division. A dedicated, highly respected no compromise supervisor who always gave full measure to the Peterborough Police Service and his community. Happy to have known Gord and to have shared some laughs and good times with him playing hockey, running, and resolving some investigations. I will miss Gord, and my condolences to his family.

I had the pleasure of meeting Gord many years ago as a Y member. He was a lovely gentelman. Our paths have crossed again as he was a neighbour from across the hall to my father in law. My sincere condolences to the family.

Dear Family - I was saddened to read of Gord's passing and I send my sincere condolences at this difficult time.
I too was a "down town" boy, living on Louis St., just around the corner from Gordie when he lived on Aylmer St. I left Peterborough in 1962 but when I came home to visit, I always enjoyed meeting up with Gord at the Memorial Centre or a coffee shop.
Gord was a great guy and will be missed.

I am saddened to learn of the passing of Retired Staff Inspector Gord MacInnes; a real gentleman, and the epitome of class in his stellar, professional career and personal life. I have enjoyed an acquaintanceship with a number of my City P.S. peers. Staff Inspector was very near the top of the list, if not the top. I always enjoyed conversations Staff Inspector MacInnes. He imbued every occasion to chat with a keen, sincere interest. Though employed in separate Police Services, I am proud to say I had the opportunity to know him. I offer my condolences to his family, colleagues and friends, during this time of bereavement. I am sorry to learn of his passing.

Marcee, my wee Chihuahua and I, were saddened to see our great friend Gord has passed. We loved our visits with Gord and ALWAYS knew he was a towering figure in our community. Gord was born to be a policeman as he exemplified the qualities that we all hold dear in our officers of peace. Gord's personal qualities were winning ones, too = a smile that lit up a room, his communications skills, his wry sense of humour, his style, his humbleness and above all his decency in dealing with everyone. Gord was the BEST of us all and I feel honoured to have known him so well over the SMILES. Well done Gord on your superior trip through life and your positive trip through the "meadows" of old age. I am giving you a 100%.

I was lucky enough to work with Gord and got a chance to see what a great man he was. I always enjoyed our conversations about the Petes and the Lakers and other local sports. I extend my sympathies to Yvonne and Sue-Anne and family. Rest In Peace Gord

Rest well Gord. Your watch has ended, a job well done. I hope Gord's family can draw strength from the wonderful accomplishments and legacy he left. I got to know Gord better after his retirement, and enjoyed sharing memories with him.

My sympathies to Gord's family. Gord worked with my brother when he was on the force in the 60's. After I met him he often would reminisce about working with my brother. Gord always knew you, no matter the place, and would converse freely and with interest in whatever was being discussed. He never missed a KofC Police Appreciation Night.A friendly sincere man whose struggles are now over. Rest in peace Gord.

Yvonne and family so sorry for your lost but i am sure you will have a life time of fond memories of Gords companionship during his healthy times.

I had the pleasure of working with and for many great Police Officers but no one better then Gord. He was always there to guide you and offer solutions to issues that seemed to be difficult. He was fair to all and even when you had to have that talk it was with respect and over as you walked out that door. Gord was a man of integrity you dont find so much today and i know personally i will never forget the fond memories i have shared with Gord. RIP my friend.

I am sorry to hear of MAC'S passing . I worked under Gord's guidance for many years , especially in the Detective Division . I enjoyed socializing with Mac as well , even ran a winter half marathon at his side , he encouraged me to join the "Y" as well . Mac was a good mentor , a trusted leader and an all around , " GOOD MAN . " RIP MAC .
