We (sue and I) think about Uncle Red often. We remember his humor and sense of living each day in the fullest way. His jokes, his cigars, his friendship for and to so many. And finally his love for his family! Missed but never forgotten! Jim Bingham

Daddy’s Hands
song by Phil, Ben and Sue

I remember Daddy´s hands, folded silently in prayer.
And reaching out to hold me, when I had a nightmare.
You could read quite a story, in the callouses and lines.
Years of work and worry had left their mark behind.

I remember Daddy´s hands, how they held my Mama tight,
And patted my back, for something done right.
There are things that I´ve forgotten, that I loved about the man,
But I´ll always remember the love in Daddy´s hands.

Daddy's hands were soft and kind when I was cryin´.
Daddy´s hands, were hard as steel when I´d done wrong.
Daddy´s hands, weren´t always gentle
But I´ve come to understand.
There was always love in Daddy´s hands.

I remember Daddy´s hands, working 'til they bled.
Sacrificed unselfishly, just to keep us all fed.
If I could do things over, I´d live my life again.
And never take for granted the love in Daddy´s hands.

Daddy's hands were soft and kind when I was cryin´.
Daddy´s hands, were hard as steel when I´d done wrong.
Daddy´s hands, weren´t always gentle
But I´ve come to understand.
There was always love in Daddy´s hands.

Daddy's hands were soft and kind when I was cryin´.
Daddy´s hands, were hard as steel when I´d done wrong.
Daddy´s hands, weren´t always gentle
But I´ve come to understand.
There was always love...
In Daddy´s hands.

Sharon, Mark and Danny:
Your Dad was a great man and we will all miss him being in our lives. He was around our house alot after my Dad died in September of 1950 (I was only 2)(that's right, I am 62). He helped Aunt Liz (Mom) on the farm in West Candor, across from the Dick Bebee farm until it was sold and Mom moved to the little white house (now green) on Kelsey Road just down from Grandpa Archie's farm south of Candor. Your Mom and Dad were there for Aunt Liz and Doug and I. I do remember all the great times we had then and over the years.

Your Mom and Dad are the greatest and they are both dearly missed; but will never be forgotten by all those who have spent time laughing and enjoying their company.

You and your families will be fine because Uncle Red and Aunt Mabel raised three great kids and gave you all their sense of humor and great outlook on life and all that it holds.

Love; Jim

A great friend and mentor passed away May 30, 2010. A legend "Big Red" McNeil. I can see him carrying 4 bales of hay up the center isle or dragging one of the first cafe heifer's up the center of the barn. The man was a machine. Dan, Mark and Sis,
Uncle Gordie always had a sparkle in his eye with a joke, sassy comment, or a good ribbing just waiting to break loose. Teasing was one his favorite ways to show affection and his wit always put a smile on our faces. That's how I remember him:-)

Sharon, Mark, Dan and families. I also have many wonderful memories of Uncle Gordie. One of my favorite is connected to the song sung by Petula Clark , "Downtown"! After my Mom died we lived with Uncle Gordie and Aunt Mab for awhile. Going "to town" was a huge deal and I remember Uncle Gordie, Pennie and I singing it all the way home (Raish Hill). Pennie was 3 and I was 5. God bless you all- lots of love, Paulie
