My sincerest condolences to Jane and the rest of the family. I have wonderful memories of working with Jane and Gord at Hydro, curling Thursday nights at the Terrace, and many other gatherings. Last time was a great weekend at Buckhorn. Planting trees is a fitting tribute to Gord's life.

I never knew Gordon and unfortunately I did not know his address until last week when I was informed of his passing. I would love to have talked to him about his days at the Barrie Collegiate Institute and his membership in the school band.
I am presently writing a history of the band that includes photographs. Perhaps someone in the family could identify him for me since a contemporary of his Robert Halfyard is not sure.
In the attached photo from 1944 he is in the third row. Is he the first boy on the left with the bass sax or the third boy from the left with the tenor sax.
Any help you can give would be most appreciated.
