Dear Jeff & Family,
We are very saddened to learn of your father's passing. We just found out and are very sorry that we missed his funeral. In reading such tremendous and most impressive history stories of your father, our country was so unbelievably blessed to have such a brave and honorable man helping our wounded soldiers and fighting so hard for our freedom, Wow! Even on his return home, all of his continual efforts, dedications, and contributions toward so many causes were absolutely immense. We are extending our deepest sympathies to you and your entire family. God Bless your father, Gordy, and may he rest in eternal peace.
Love, BettyAnn & Jack

May he rest in peace knowing he did his job, and did it great. Because of him and his brothers in arms we sleep in our warm beds and can hug our children in one arm while providing them with food in the other. Thank you Mr Starck for what you did for this country and your family.

My condolences to the Starck family. I am 68 myself and now read the Obits regularly. I don't recall reading a life story as remarkable as his. What were the odds he would have survived all of those famous battles? And then lead such a full and productive life? Amazing, simply amazing. I have posted his obituary on the notice board at my workplace so my colleagues can read his story. I recommend to the Journal Sentinel that an article be printed. I never met Mr. Starck and did not know of him before. But I offer my sincere thanks to him for all he did for our country and for the Milwaukee Metro area.

Our sincerest condolences to Marge and the entire Starck family. Uncle Gordy's presence and wonderful demeanor while with us at the VA when Dad (Ronald Starck) was there after his heart surgery was so very helpful. Gordy will be missed. Thanks also to the family for the detailed history on his past. It is an honor to know the extent of his service.

Gordy Starck was the epitome of a rough, tough All American Paratrooper with a golden heart. An 82nd Airborne Medic who ran between the bombs and bullets of WWII's most fierce fights, he risked his life over and over to save his friends. And when he came home, he served his family, splendid wife Margie, his Church, community and country. He helped everyone he could. Gordy was a Patriot, one hell of a Brewers, Packers and Badgers fan. God bless Gordy, Margie, the family and friends. We will remember Gordy forever.
