I am so sorry to learn of Gordon's passing, & very shocked Zenovia predeceased him. My son played hockey with their grandson Dustin. I adored them, & looked forward to seeing them at hockey games. I will never forget Gords investment advice, many long conversations & how he loved his family. Zenovia was so sweet & always had kind uplifting words. They are now together again, dancing & watching over everyone they left behind. Cheers Gord & Zenovia.

I wish to share this with Gordon's family and friends. I'm sorry that I can't attend your Dad's Celebration of Life.
Gordon's (and Zenovia's) greatest legacy will be this wonderful and amazing family, so many of you who have become my friends too. There's something special about being a Stenner as you've all shown and many more have yet to do so. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
Gordon was one of my favourite people and I'd like to share a few of my thoughts and memories with you.
I'm not sure when I first met Gordon, but from the instant we met him we liked each other a lot. I recruited Gordon and Vanessa for the White Rock office of NBF. There was great mutual respect for the values we shared and the way we lived our lives. Gordon had great integrity. He would never do anything that he did not believe was in the best interests of his clients. He worked very hard to find the best ideas for his clients, sometimes very late at night.
I remember Vanessa telling me how she would receive advice and requests from Gordon at 3:00am. My God. Did this man ever sleep??
Gordon was also one of the most highly motivated people I ever knew. Not because he ever compared himself or tried to keep up to "the Jones", but just because that was what he expected of himself. He worked very hard his whole life, and he loved to do so. His clients loved him because he loved them, and he loved many others, in fact I think just about everyone. Anytime I ever saw him, he always had a smile for me. And, even though we didn't see each other very often in the later years, whenever we did, his smile brightened my day.
I'm going to miss that smile and I know all of you here will even more. You gotta believe though that with Gordon being in heaven with Zenovia, they're shaking things up up there.
Good bye my friend. I'm looking forward to that smile (not too soon I hope) on the other side.
You're loved and missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Gordon's passing. We go back a very long way. My dad and Gordon worked together at First Investors. My sister and I use to take the bus into New Westminster to visit your mom when Thane was a newborn. Your dad spoke at my dads funeral in 1966. Both of our parents went on the trip to Paris together. Finds memories of both of them. Take care each of you and always remember the good times
