As a freshman at the U of MO in 1955, Gordon became my friend and mentor. Because of his influence, I spent two summers working in the Forest Service in Northern Idaho. I graduated in Dairy Manufacturing in 1959. We were two farm boys who shared a lot of the same interests.

My love and condolences to all. I will always be thankful to Gordon for always checking to see if I finished my college degree. Susan, it meant a lot that he wanted that for me. I was glad to be able to say I did! He was always so nice to me and my family even when I brought a van full of kids and a crying baby.
