To Gordie’s family;
It may be way way too late to offer my condolences now. But, in recently asking an acquaintance of mine from Gorham if he knew how Gordie was doing he gave me the news.
I competed against Gordie in baseball and basketball for 4 years. Me Phelps and he Gorham. He was a very good athlete and a great guy.
He was one of those guys I enjoyed competing with. I was fortunate enough to connect with Gordie in 1990. Unfortunately it was the last time. I hope by some chance his family will know of my belated condolences.

Candy and family- we were so sorry to hear about Gordie's passing. He was always quick with a smile and a joke, and we will miss him greatly. We'll keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.

To Gordie's family,
Knew and competed against Gordie in high school basketball and baseball, he from Gorham and me from Red Jacket; great competitor and because of sports, we became friends. Reconnected with him in the early 80's in Scottsdale. What a treat to see him again and rekindle that friendship. Am truly sorry for your loss and will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers. Knowing him, he'd tell all of you to "carry on"! Hard to replace "one of a kind"!

Candy and family-First met Gordie way back in High School, what an accomplished and great athlete. During your High school years you remember the great ones, even if they are from a different school, for their ability, that was Gordie. Candy, Ann and I will keep you and your family in our prayers. God be with you and "HE IS" Don and Ann from the "old days" at the Butcher Shoppe.

I am so very sorry to hear about Gordon's passing. I regret not having been in touch over the years as he was the best boss, kindest man and he influenced my career so greatly! Because of Gordon I actually have a decent retirement! My first day he encouraged me to max my 401k contribution! Best advice anyone ever offered. I have thought of him often and I know he will be missed by many. Candy (I?) Gordon always loved you and I know he will be watching over you and your family. God bless you and know that I have you in my prayers. I will
Aways remember him fondly and with gratitude!
