Hello,
Sorry to just hear the sad news of Gordon's passing last year.
Gordon gave me my first proper job, as a 15 year old, at the Tulloch Boat Centre at Cannonmills many years ago.
Gordon was always extremely kind and caring, towards an awkward but enthusiastic budding shop assistant. He introduced me to sailing in Grads and Solings that became one of the passions of my life, and my current job.
I've thought of Gordon and those great days working with him many times over the years.
I now live in New Zealand and am sitting here with my mother reminiscing about Edinburgh and Gordon's name case up. She also remembers him (the good looking chap!) and his kindness to me. She was widowed and appreciated Gordon looking out for me.
I wish you all well in the the Kingdom of Fife from Auckland, New Zealand (the city of sails).
Very warmest regards
Martin Shelton
