Goro Suzuki Obituary

Published by Vancouver Sun and/or The Province from Jan. 9 to Jan. 11, 2009.
SUZUKI Goro It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Goro Suzuki on December 31st, 2008 at the Brock Fahrni Pavilion in Vancouver, B.C. Goro was predeceased by his wife Grace, his sister Tomio and his brothers Kanroku (Ken) and Rokuro (Roy). He is survived by his son David (Paul), his daughter Natalie (Roy), and his granddaughters Hana and Emiko, who were the joys of his life. Goro was born in New Westminster, B.C. in 1920 and spent his best years in Delta. He was a veteran of the 2nd World War and served in the Canadian Army S-20 Intelligence Corps in India. A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in Goro's memory would be greatly appreciated. A special thanks is extended to the staff of Brock Fahrni for their exceptional care of Goro since May 2005, to his good friend Kiyo and his cousins Sueo and Jessie for their support throughout Goro's illness.
