Grace Marie Sommers

Uniontown - Grace, age 83, went home to be with the Lord on April 25, 2025. Grace was born and raised in Louisville but later moved to Uniontown. Grace was preceded in death by her husband Galen Sommers, her parents Harmon and Alta Schmucker, and her brothers Cleo and Arden. She is survived by her children Brad (Beth), Lecia and Maria; her grandchildren Brittany, Brandon (Kate), Tyler, Treven, Katelyn (Michael) and Nick; her great grandchildren Gideon, Levi, Valerie, Joshua, Addison and Loyal; and her brother, Roger (Ruth). Grace's greatest joy came from her family. She was a dedicated wife, mother, caregiver, Grandma and GiGi. Grace's talents showed in her many roles. She blessed family and friends with her love of quilting and sewing baby blankets. Grace would often piece a quilt for the MCC relief sale. Her administrative skills and creative talents supported a successful Conklin business. She demonstrated her quiet faith by supporting mission workers and volunteering with causes close to her heart. And she treasured her role in loving and supporting Galen. A memorial service for Grace will be held at Evermore Community Church, 1470 Smith Kramer St. NE, Hartville, OH 44632, on Saturday, May 10th at 10 am.
