Gracie Ellen Horton Helton ST. PAUL, Va. Gracie Ellen Horton Helton, 88, died Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, at Russell County Medical Center, Lebanon, Va. She was born in Buchanan County, Va., daughter of the late Grover C. and Florence Fletcher Horton. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy H. Hackney, Sadie H. Doyle, and Elise Horton; and four brothers, Frank Horton, George Horton, Edward Horton, and Asa Horton. She is survived by two daughters, Della Jenkins of St. Paul, and Anita H. Taylor of Castlewood, Va.; two sons, Clyde Helton Jr. of St. Paul, and Grover Helton of Castlewood; two sisters, Virgie H. Farmer of St. Paul, and Edna H. Castle of St. Paul; one brother, Sam Horton of Winston-Salem, N.C.; nine grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Gracie Ellen Horton Helton will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010, in St. Paul Assembly of God, St. Paul, with Rev. Johnny Thompson and Rev. Ted Phillips officiating. The body will be taken to the church one hour before the service. Interment will follow in Horton Family Cemetery, St. Paul. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Mitchell Helton, Adam Helton, Tony Helton, Chris Maples, Michael Helton, Casey Peak, Eddie Taylor. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia.
