Celeste DePatsy Obituary
She is survived by her five children, William DePatsy and his wife Larissa, Michael DePatsy, Debra Quist, Jack DePatsy and Peter DePatsy; nine grandchildren; a sister Anne Palumbo of Florida and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Luigi and two sisters, Mary and Lucy.
She was born in Leominster, February 16, 1924 to Italian immigrants Antonio and Rosina (Lorusso) Armillotti. Celeste contributed to the World War II effort by working in the garment factory as a seamstress. She later worked for Louise Starr Bridal as a wedding gown seamstress and later worked at the Glavine Center as a monitor for the disabled. Celeste finished her work days at Micro Networks.
Celeste enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading and playing cards with family and friends. She was a fine cook and baker, and was known for her open door Thursday night Italian feasts, where all were welcome.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, August 14 from FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 West Boylston Street, West Boylston with a Mass at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester Street. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday, August 13 from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.

Chick taught me to play 5-9 pitch, which is still my absolute favorite card game (though so few people know how to play it). I´m passing it forward by teaching friends who show interest, but there was nothing like playing at Chick´s kitchen table. I have such fond memories of partnering up with Chicky to defeat Deb & Jack, or whomever happened to be playing that night. We had so much fun playing, and I miss Chick and the comfort of having her so near every single day.

Chick, just a few weeks ago we were playing pitch and conversing about anything and everything. How I will miss your kind words, your laughter, your selfless want to make those around you happy. It is hard to believe what such little time has wrought. It is hard to believe you are gone. You were a grandmother to me and an inspiration. I love you with all my heart. Dear Chick: There are too many memories of growing up at your house for me to express, a few though, macaroni night, square dancing night, and the great parties. My fondest of all is how Bill and you treated me as part of your family from when I was a child till now, and how you never ever forgot my Birthday. I am greatful I was able to spend some quality time with you last Christmas and the long talk we had. I will miss you Chick especially at Christmas when I can't find the Italian cookie ball receipe.

I will miss you greatly, Aunt Chick even though I have only known you for 14 years. I married into a wonderful, positive loving family. I am still learning wonderful loving things from Roger.
