(Emeritus Professor):
Peacefully at home on 12th February. Aged 80 years. Loved and loving husband of Judith. Devoted father and father-in-law of Mark and Francesca, Nicholas and Clarissa, Andrew, Sam, Tom and Steve. Much loved Grandad of James and Warisara. Respected step-father of David and Catherine, Michael and Isabel, and special Graham to Scout, Ottilie and Bonnie. Looking for a game of bridge.

A great teacher to all of us who studied at the Tasmanaian Medical School. I still have "the little red book" which we all carried on ward rounds religiously. Sadly missed.

Vale Prof Boyd. You have been such a major influence on generations of doctors trained in Tasmania. The Six Honest Serving Men and Four Columns of thought still serve me well after twenty years of practice! You knew us all way better than we realised at the time and your genuine interest in each of us is something to be valued as an inspiration when we ourselves teach. Your family can be very proud of your legacy.
