Dear Madelene and Narlene,

I grew up knowing Grant as a wonderful neighbor. He was always a supporter of everyone who had a loss in the family.

May God Bless and keep you in his care.

Dear Narlene,

What a beautiful memorial service for Grant! I was so struck by the fact that all the wonderful things that were said by the three speakers were true and all of us knew it! They never did use the word "intercessor" but that was the gift Grant was blessed to have and to share. There aren't many of those around. That is what one of the speakers meant when he said "our churches would be full IF we had more Grant Belchers around." Our nation would be different too. You certainly can be proud, in the right sense, to have had such a Godly man for a father.

Love and God's blessing and comfort.

Grant's spirit of giving and kindness grew throughout the neighborhood and taught us younguns how to be good neighbors. We would always stop to say hello when he was walking up on the road. He'd say I'm just a loafering, with his wonderful smile and bright eyes. Always there to give a helping hand or offer a kind word... We will always hold him in our hearts and remember.....God's Blessings
