Grant McLEAN Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Grant McLean on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the age of 67. Grant was born September 26, 1947, in Moose Jaw, SK. He was predeceased by his parents Eugene and Sylvia McLean and by his brother Bryan McLean. Grant is survived by his loving wife Cathy; his daughters Renise McLean (David Heneghan and grandchildren Leifr and Saffren) and Raelene McLean; his stepchildren Chrissy Pankratz (Solan), Jenny Pankratz, Josh Watson, and Sarah Harrison; siblings Sterling (Debra) McLean, Heather (Hugh) Schnell and Shelley (Jeff) Baker, as well as by numerous nieces and one nephew. He was devoted to his family, his faith, and his profession with many years in the agriculture community. His love for the outdoors was evident in his daily activities, of gardening, camping, sailing, scouts and a love of music and playing in local bands and choirs. He lived an adventurous life and has touched more lives than one can count. He will be forever missed by all of his family and friends. The Celebration of Grant's Life will be held on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Victory Church, 637 Main St N, Moose Jaw, SK. Arrangements are entrusted to Parkview Funeral Chapel. Cathy, Renise, Raelene and families, my condolences. I was extremely saddened when I heard of Grant's passing. Although I was aware of his illness, his positive spirit and cheerful personality made me believe he would pull through. I had the honour of working closely with him for over a decade at the AKC, and became fond of him due to his kind and pleasant personality, not to mention his knowledge and professionalism. When he retired, I looked forward to continue learning from him. But that was not to be. His, was really a life cut short. May his soul rest in peace and may the Lord bless and strengthen you.

The province has lost a man who contributed greatly to the profession of agrology and to the communities he lived in. Grant was a positive person and a role model for all of us. My sincere condolences to Grant's family.
