I met Grassella in. 1981, where he 2as performing in New Jersey. I greatly appreciate his concern to me when I was dealing with a difficult situation. Never forgot it, and regret he passed away before I had a chance to attend one if his last performances. May he continue to rest in peace and comfort to his loved ones, friends and fans.

I just heard of Grasses passing less than an hour ago. I enjoyed listening to him play drums, his great conversation and watching him play golf . It was an honor to make his spectical lenses so that his score could remain close to the low seventies.
My condolences to his family and friends
Sincerely,

I was introduced to Grassella Oliphant by my late husband in 1981. He visited us shortly after we were married. I will always remember his kindness and concern, and regret not having the opportunity to tell him how grateful I was for a telephone call he made to me during a difficult period. Thank you. May you rest in peace, and God's comfort to your loved ones.
