We were so pleased to have had the chance to meet Greg on the Isle of Man with Paul. His humour was unique and we quickly made friends. He left a lasting impression on us with his larger than life character. Our thoughts are with Paul and all of Gregs family at this time.

Dear Mrs. Grimes, Nancy, Tim, Jenny and Wendy and families,
I am so sorry for your loss. It has been a long time but having the Grimes in my life has been a gift and I thank you for all the great memories. Greg was such a kook and like everyone else has said, he lived large and laughed often. A lesson to us all.

We were all really saddened to hear that Greg had passed. It's been quite some time since we were together but we have so many wonderful memories of the time spent together when he lived out west. His mischievous smile reminds us of the times him and mom would talk for hours while we all listened intently. Every time he came it was like he never left. His talks always made us feel more up to date and part of our Ottawa family.
Please know that during this difficult time our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

To all Greg's loved ones, especially Paul, I wish healing of the heart - and sore cheeks as you remember all the outrageous pranks and jokes you shared with Greg. He was the poster boy for "larger than life". I'm grateful to have revisited with Greg at the Hillcrest reunion. He took me to my first prom and we became friends. We shared an apt when he first moved to Calgary. He tried to convince me to not take life too seriously. His booming laughter is my most fond memory. Take care, Wendy (McGovern) Lauzon

Dear Greg, you brought us so much laughter, and made life on earth such a better place. We will take comfort in the good memories we have and know you will be cracking them up in heaven. We will forever remember our last get together in the Okanagan. Valerie, we met many years ago in Ottawa when Greg & I worked together for HSBC and from the moment we met, I saw where he got his amazing personality from. To you and the rest of the family we wish for the happy times to remain forever in your hearts. To Paul, altho we did not meet you, we felt like we knew you. Greg was so very happy when you came into his life. We are saddened that the two of you could not have had more time together on earth. Keep him in your heart, and the invitation to come to the Okanagan is and will always remain open. Take Care. Much Love Sandy & "Yawnny", Oliver, BC

With our deepest condolences to the whole Grimes family and Greg's partner. As we grew up together, we always enjoyed Greg's fun loving nature and zest for life. My sincere condolences for those close to Greg now robbed of his energies... my second cousin I remember clearly and fondly having uncommon joy and delight in all things especially the unexpected, with a prudent curiosity and an innocent courage for adventure... A huge and quick smile and a face made for such.... His passing - so close his age is to mine just two years younger - is a reminder that such a spirit is indeed an inspiration, even now in its less temporal state, but truly felt profoundly in his purest self.. the need for joyfulness in what is left in all of our lives....Lorraine Laframboise
