Greg "Spider" Gruber

I wish you all the stregnth and love during this difficult time. Greg "Spider" - was THE most energetic man I've ever met! I always said he was a fun little boy trapped in a man's body. His beauty (inside & out), kindness, passion and strength will live on in his girls and Jen. He compares to no other... Time will not heal all wounds, it just makes the suffering a bit easier. Peaceful thoughts!

To the family of Greg, Ray and I would like you to know that he was one of the nicest people we ever worked with. We will miss that smile that never ended. Greg brought so much joy to everyone that came in contact with him. He was the true meaning of kindness. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I want to express my love, pride and hope for the Gruber family. Alaina has been a great friend to me for years and had a wonderful father who loved her so much. One of the first times I met Greg was when he rented a stretch limo for Alaina's 21st birthday. Greg made it a very special night and we had the best time, he made sure of it. There are few people who always light up the room when they enter it, that was Spider. He has passed this unique characteristic on to his beautiful daughters. And to Jen-with the best laugh I have ever heard. I wish you peaceful and joyful memories that help you remember the times you spent with Spider. He will be missed.

Jen, Alaina, Jillene and all the Gruber Family, Our Hearts go out to you all. As our sister Monique said in a previous entry Greg was like another brother in the Levorson Family growing up. Greg and Mitch were always up to somthing! So many great times and stories to be told. He remained a Good Friend. Some of us sisters had the chance to sit with Greg last summer at the niece's pool. We talked over old times, laughed and listened to Greg's great jokes. What a Great time we had. The pictures we had taken with Greg and us girls will always be treasured. Greg will be Dearly missed but will Live on in our Hearts and Memories Forever and Always.

Jen...Jillene...and Alaina,

I thought about Greg everyday during his illness, but was still devasated when I heard the news that we lost him. I don't need to tell you how wonderful of person he was. I had the pleasure of working with him for 6 years. I learned more in 6 years from him, than I ever imagined I could have. For no known reason, he was always smiling. On days I would come to work with the weight of the world on my shoulders, he'd pull me aside and cheer me up. Many times I wanted to quit, but he kept me in the game. He always seemed to be there when I needed him, and that will be sorely missed. I can honestly say that I lost the Best Boss a man could ever ask for. MY thoughts and prayers are with you guys during this time. Keep your heads up, and a smile on your faces. Greg would've wanted it that way.

Although it has been many years ago since I talked with Greg, I knew of his illness from talking with Frank. Along with many others who knew Greg, hung out with him, grew up with him, and loved him, I offer my sincere condolences to his entire family. I used to play baseball with Frank (famous third baseman) and coached by his dad, Mr. Gruber (I still call him that) and my dad. We were always at the country club - every day! Those times are great memories! Greg was always around with great humor and that smile. When I got out of the Army in 1976, I went to Inver Hills...so did Greg. We used to ride together and skip out on occasion to go ice fishing. He was just a good guy and always very pleasant to be around. Greg is now in good hands, well, and safe.

I grew up about a block and a half away on the same street. We went to different grade schools but hung out together off and on from junior through senior high. My deepest thoughts and prayers go out to his family. I had the pleasure of talking with him at our 30 year class reunion a few months ago. Even though we had not seen each other since high school, he made me feel like I was his best friend. He had that effect on most everyone. What a guy. What a smile. What a huge heart. We'll all miss you!

when i think of spider and his big grin, i think priority #i fun, concerts, ball games, grilling and sports bars. but he was the most unselfish man i've ever met, always put others first, don't think he ever had a bad day. everybody liked him, he touched so many. the spider center just won't be the same now! greg lived life to the fullest and made more out of his time here then most twice his age, miss ya buddy, see ya tomorrow. cousin, bob

I briefly met you at the "Park" reunion and told you what a lucky girl you were to have such a wonderful man like Greg in your life. This man was the "model" of what a perfect husband should be. He was so caring, giving and loving. You are so lucky to have spent time with him....I can't begin to understand your grief and pain but know in my heart that Greg will be taken care up above by those special angels....Greg will be deeply missed. We are friends of Glen's and never had the opportunity to meet Greg. I'm sure that this is our loss. Greg was a great cousin. I used to babysit Greg and his brother Frankie. As an adult he was kind and thoughtful. Greg was ring bearer at my wedding on April 25, 1964. The one thing I remember the most with Greg is when you would ask him a question of any sort, he would say the answer and nod the opposite. His coordination to this

ABSULUT-LY right the kindest man ever,Greg would go far out of his way to do the kindest things for paople.It was a great sight to see his big smile on his face at our wedding, he was the first person we looked at and that will stay with us the rest of our lives.He is already missed and will not be replaced.

Tonight I heard the news of Greg's passing, and I am so sad. I went to school with Greg, my family members worked with Greg, and our first daughters were born the same year. My brother called tonight to get phone numbers to gather a group for the memorial service. I can't be there physically, but my heart and prayers goes out to Greg's daughters and the rest of his family.

hello greg's family, i am very sorry to hear about greg is gone. i am very sadden of him. i know him at xcel energy center since fall 2000. he is very funny and joking guy. i love him. he is my friend since i first met him at work xcel energy center that i am work vending room and he is my vending boss at xcel energy center. he is very nice guy. i am understand how he feel about have cancer. i thought think of him in my heart. he is my old friend . i accept loss my friend greg gruber. i accept him to let he go heaven without pain with cancer. i still love him alots. god bless greg gruber and his family too. thanks smile then have a great day. i never forget of him in my life and my heart. i am pray for him in my heart.

I am so glad to of been able have known Greg. He was a great person, he made everyone laugh. He would of taken his shirt off his back for someone if they needed it. He had the a biggest heart. He will be missed in everyones lives he had touched.

Greg was a "one of a kind" guy. I've been away from the Twin Cities for nearly 30 years now and have nothing but fond memories of all the times we spent together growing up, especially every Christmas Eve at his house and 4th of July at my house. Along with all of my wonderful Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins, Greg was always a joy to be around. Greg loved people and continually shared his selflessness, and his positive fun-loving spirit with all who crossed his path.

Hi to Betty, George, and all of the family. Just think! Greg is now with his little brother, his son, and many others including Gramma Sadie! I would'nt be surprised to see them right this very moment gathered around the table playing "Help Your Neighbor" and catching up on old times.
