I am sorry for the loss of Greg. I am just finding out about his passing.

I knew Greg when he attended college in Baltimore. He wore a Prince Valient hairstyle and carried his guitar with him. He and I had a class together in 1968 or 69 and I always remember chatting with him about songs and writing songs.

He told me he would go to San Fransico and start a rock group. It looks like he did and more. I saw him play at a local coffeehouse in Baltimore where he had his acoustic guitar and harmonica. I can still see him playing and singing in the dimly lit coffeehouse.

Greg also told me how he would sit on the roof of his family's home behind the old Memorial Stadium and he could watch some of the game and hear the crowd noise.

I would tell all my friends later that I knew Greg Kihn, who wrote Jeopardy and The Breakup Song. I am very saddened by his passing although I did not know him anymore once he left Baltimore.

Greg was one of the best. Humility, kindness and a real person and a Family Man, Thank you for all the great songs that I play almost every day.

Sad. Saw Greg open for the Beach Boys back in April '83. It was at the Brendan Byrne Arena (NJ). Years later I lived n the Bay Area for 10 years. Loved his radio program. For some reason I always remember his Paul Rodgers interview. Good stuff! RIP
