Greg Quinn Obituary

Funeral services for Charles Gregory Quinn, 51, of Corinth will be held Monday, January 22, 2018 at 2:00pm at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Corinth, MS with burial in Itawamba Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 5:00pm-9:00pm and Monday, January 22, 2018 from 1:00pm-2:00pm at Magnolia Funeral Home. Matt Quinn, Jordan Quinn, Brian Quinn and Bro. Brett Butler will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Living Free Ministries of Corinth, MS.

Greg passed away at his home on January 13, 2018. He was born May 7, 1966 in Iuka, MS. He was the son of Linda and Larry Quinn of Fulton, MS. Greg graduated from Itawamba Agricultural High School in the class of 1984. He earned an Associate's degree from Itawamba Community College and a Bachelor's of Science degree from Samford University in Birmingham. Greg practiced as a Registered Pharmacist for over 25 years. Greg was a Christian and attended Crosswind Church in Corinth.

Greg had a vivacious personality and never met a stranger. He often claimed that he wanted to be remembered as a Quarterback and a Health Care Professional. He pursued both of these passions with equal vigor. After his playing days at IAHS, Greg became the neighborhood quarterback in every community in which he lived. On any given day, he was Terry Bradshaw, Joe Montana, John Elway, and John Fourcade all rolled into one. Thanks to his neighborhood heroics, he won countless national championships for the Ole Miss Rebels as well as Super Bowls for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was loved and cherished by all who were lucky enough to play the game with him. Greg was a fierce competitor in all things in which he participated. Whether it was golf, board games, pick up basketball, or PlayStation, Greg refused to lose easily. Hugs before handshakes defined the way Greg treated the patients he interacted with each day as a Pharmacist. He would go to great lengths to help "his" patients each time he encountered them. He truly viewed each one as family. He had a laugh that preceded him into each room that he ever lit. People were naturally drawn to his magnetic personality.

Greg had a love for music that spanned his entire life. He had varied musical tastes and was always willing to listen to new things. His favorite artists included Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Gordon Lightfoot, Bruce Springsteen, and Neil Young. For many that knew him, Greg came to represent Rock N' Roll as much as the artists that he loved. His infectious personality brought cheer and joy everywhere he went. Greg showed love and kindness to everyone he encountered. He loved his family and friends with his entire heart. The universe is a darker place without him in it.

Greg leaves behind a son and daughter-in-law, Cory and Meredith Quinn of Southaven; a daughter, Kelsey Quinn of Corinth; his parents, Larry and Linda Quinn of Fulton; a brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Emily Quinn of Fulton; a nephew, Dylan Quinn of Fulton; a niece, Presley Quinn of Fulton; a paternal grandmother, Eunice Page Quinn of Iuka; a significant other, Casey Turner Etheridge of Corinth; a special uncle, Rick Quinn and wife Sharon of Corinth; the mother of his children, Lisa Quinn of Corinth; nieces, nephews, other family, and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Edward Quinn; maternal grandparents, Willard and Faye Hendrix and a cousin, Tyler Quinn.

Pallbearers will be: Matt Quinn, Jordan Quinn, Bobby Roberts, Ricky Newcomb, Dr. Jim Stone, and Josh Houston.
