Gregory BAUM

BAUM, Gregory On October 18, 2017, in Montreal, at 94 years of age, Mr. Gregory Baum, husband of Shirley Flynn passed away. He leaves in mourning his great friend Normand, his sister-in-law Margaret in London, his Nephew Chris in Ontario, the team at the Centre for Justice and Faith, his former colleagues at McGill University as well as numerous friends in the Montreal and Toronto regions, who were dear to him. Gregory Baum, a Catholic theologian, was one of the experts at the Second Vatican Council. He contributed actively to ecumenical and inter-religious reconciliation as well as numerous actions in favour of social justice. For nearly 30 years Gregory collaborated closely with the Centre for Justice and Faith as well as the periodical Relations. Sincere thanks are addressed to all of the personnel of the dialysis section of St. Mary's Hospital. A ceremony of thanksgiving will be celebrated on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Church of St. Peter the Apostle (1201, Visitation Street, Montreal) preceded on Friday evening by a remembrance of the man of dialogue that Gregory Baum was. This will take place from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Centre for Justice and Faith, 25 Jarry Street West, Montreal.
