Gregory Adrian Frick

On Monday, January 9, 2023, Gregory Adrian Frick, passed away at age 69 at UM St. Joseph Medical Center.

Greg was born July 1, 1953, to the late Adrian and Naomi Frick and resided on a farm in Smallwood, MD. He graduated from Westminster High School in 1971 and then attended the York Academy of Arts, graduating with a Fine Art Diploma in 1975. During the '80s and '90s he worked for Shelter Systems, a truss manufacturing company. Greg was a talented woodworker. For many years he made and refinished furniture and later had his own construction company specializing in home improvements. Many still admire the work he did in their homes.

Throughout his life, he spent time doing things he loved like fishing, woodworking, art, painting, farming, gardening, cooking, and taking care of his many pets over the years as well as backyard birds and wildlife.

He shared many special friendships and memories with those who knew him and spoke of those memories often. His battle with health issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with humor and a smile. He always seemed to find something to laugh about no matter what he was dealing with.

He is survived by his former wife Helen Buckingham and their daughter, Jessica Sykes, her husband Tim Sykes, and daughter Ariel Sykes. He was predeceased by his wife Lisa Frick-Robinson.

At Greg's request, his body will be donated to the Maryland Anatomy Board for the advancement of science for future generations.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring.
