DOERUN, GA. – Gregory “Greg” Duane Hancock, 55, of Doerun, GA passed away January 21, 2023, at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 23, 2023, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Mrs. Belinda Griffin and Mr. Danny Walker presiding. A private interment will be held in the family plot.
Born July 29, 1967, in Colquitt County, GA, he was the son of Glenda Walker Hancock and the late Dorsey “Rennie” Hancock. Mr. Hancock was employed as a truck driver for Demott Trucking in Doerun and loved driving big rigs. He loved his family and enjoyed being around them. Mr. Hancock was an avid fan of Truck Pulls and like going to see them anywhere he could. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dorsey L. “Rennie” Hancock.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila Hancock; children, Ryan Hancock, Justin Hancock, Jessica Mims and husband Chris; grandchildren, Caden Hancock, Landon Hancock, Cotton Mims and Gunner Mims; mother, Glenda Walker Hancock; brother, Jeff Hancock and wife Heather and sister Kelli Hancock Hampton along with a number of extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:00PM-2:00 PM Monday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
