This picture was taken at our 30th high school reunion. Greg was surrounded by his best friends. He still is....in our hearts now.

COL Jackley was one of my favorite OICs while I was stationed as a dentist at Fort Hood. He was so friendly and approachable, and was an excellent boss and clinic administrator. He cared very much for the soldiers that we treated. You all will be in my prayers.

Wow, talk about a 2x4 hitting me this morning. Went to email Greg and was not on the Army global, checked with the ADA and then just googled his name. Was not what I was expecting. My deepest sympathies to the family. I knew Greg as a young CPT in Fulda, then saw him when at Ft. Monnamoth, long time. The picture in his BDUs outside the tent, I took it. I also still have the one of me in the same getup that he took. I am shocked. He definately was a character and yes, I remember The Grin. If I may be so bold, can anyone tell me what he passed away from.

I must say I was shocked like others at Greg's passing. He and I and 6 others spent a grueling, yet rewarding, two years together at a General Dentistry residency at Fort Hood 1991 - 1993. He was a hard-working, confidant dentist. We had a great class and it would not have been the same without him. His death is quite sobering to me and is a reminder that life is tenuous at best and after friends and family the rest is small stuff. COL(R) Bruce Cushman

If there were words that might ease your pain, I'd say them. Unfortunately, those actual words do not exist other than know you are not alone. You may feel very empty and isolated (in a crowd of people) because of Greg's passing, but lean on shoulders of Jesus for He is with you every second to listen about anything you have to say (positive and/or negative. He can take it). If you truly believe He is there, you might even feel His presence. The tears you shed are for YOUR loss as Greg has found his peace. Time will come when you will see him again. Between now and then, may the Lord bless you and give you the comfort that you need. You and your family will be in my prayers. Sincerely, Two of Greg's
former classmates, Gary and Jane East (Mark, I was with Windcrest P.D. u/Cliff Grumbles under my maiden name, Wendell.)
