Gregory Simpson McFalls, age 69 of Prudenville, passed away peacefully with his loved one by his side on Friday, June 27, 2025 at the Munson Hospice House in Traverse City. Greg was born on June 24, 1956 in Mill Spring, North Carolina.

Greg graduated from Boiling Springs High School in South Carolina. After graduation he went on to play college baseball at the Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. After playing college baseball, Greg went on to play in the MLB for the Oakland Athletics as a third baseman. After suffering a career ending injury, Greg found passion in other sports and work, he held the title as State Champion in horseshoes in North Carolina and placed 3rd in the Nation in Las Vegas one year. After Greg was done playing sports, attending many sporting events became his enjoyment. During his working years, Greg worked on boats and marine powersports equipment and was a very skilled mechanic. When he lived in the south, Greg enjoyed hunting and fishing, he also loved his Dachshund dogs. Greg also had a strong dislike for broccoli and celery.

Greg is survived by his wife Tracy Anderson of Prudenville, bonus daughter Katie (Mike) Arnett and their daughter Hadley Arnett of Traverse City.

Per Greg's wishes, no services are being planned at this time. Memorial contributions can be made in Greg's name to the Missaukee County Humane Society or the Anne Venturi Young Living Waters Hospitality House.
