Gregory Alan Miller, age 67 of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away Friday, March
31, 2023 in Rogers, Arkansas. He was born on June 1, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri,
to William Howard Miller and Norma Zoe (Saylor) Miller. He was preceded in
death by his parents and only brother, David William Miller.
Greg married Freda Guth of DeSoto, Missouri, in St. Louis on June 12, 1976. He
is survived by her and their children, grandchildren, and nieces that he loved as his
own. These include son Ryan Alan Miller and his wife Shondra of Bartlett,
Tennessee, their children, Jace Everson (9), Griffin Jamison (6), and Sloane
Hadley (1); daughter Kimberly Michelle Schluterman and her husband Heath of
Fayetteville, Arkansas, and their children, Lydia Zoe (7), Aren James (5), and
Lilyana Grace (1); niece Dyana Renèe Robbins and husband Chris with their sons;
and niece Donna Baker with her daughters.
Greg was an adventurer, full of curiosity and courage. As a young man, he was a
certified lifeguard, certified SCUBA diver, licensed private pilot, and avid
spelunker. A mechanical genius, he was a builder and fixer all his life. He was a
commercial construction project manager before opening his own collision repair
business in Clarksville, Arkansas. He enjoyed helping family and friends construct
homes, repair cars, and solve myriad other problems. This was his ministry: to
love through practical service.
He was faithful, dependable, sacrificial and funny. A teaser and joker, to know
him was to (pretend to) laugh at his dad jokes. More than anything, though, Greg
loved the Lord and his family. His last words were a reminder to serve the Lord
and to be in His word regularly.
There will be a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Pathway
Baptist Church on Mount Comfort in Fayetteville with Pastor Jeremy Flanagan
officiating. Cremation arrangements have been made with Heritage Funeral Home
in Springdale, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to The
Gideons International.
